This is the series of continuing classes/workshops in Little Tokyo.  Each class is taught by an Ikenobo Instructor and member of the Los Angeles Chapter.  The classes are open to everyone, from beginners to advanced students and even other instructors.

Covid Restrictions:

  1. Masks are no longer required, but optional. 
  2. ​Please cancel by the Thursday before class if you can not attend for any reason -this includes students who feel sick or have a fever or cough.

Please note that the JACCC follows the Covid guidelines set by the CDC and the Los Angeles Department of Health.

Classes are every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 2:30 – 4:30 pm. 

Cost: $35 per class per student, which includes instruction and materials. Cash or checks only as we cannot accept electronic payments at this time.

Maximum number of students: 12 – reservations required, first come, first served – all RSVP’s are reconfirmed the Thursday before class.

If you have equipment: a vase, scissors, and/or kenzan (pinfrog), you are welcome to bring them to class, but if not please do not purchase any equipment as they will be loaned to students for the duration of the class.

Also please note that there is no parking available in the building, however there is metered street parking and paid lots in the area.

  • ​​August 12 - Nisei Week festival - classroom is unavailable
  • September 9 - Los Angeles Chapter 65th Anniversary Celebration 
  • November 25 - Thanksgiving 
  • December 23 - Christmas
